With early-season bragging rights up for grabs, the Crosby boys held off Sacred Heart 79-76 in an exciting battle to remain one of four unbeaten teams in the league.

School Description/Info

Crosby High School is a public school serving students in grades 9 through 12, located at 300 Pierpont Road in Waterbury, Conn. Dr. Louis Padua is Crosby principal, while David Ieronimo serves as the school’s athletic director.

The mission of Crosby High School, according to a statement on the school’s website, is “to provide all students with the opportunity to safely develop into independent learners and to become informed decision-makers and problem-solvers capable of contributing to a diverse and ever-changing society.” Its vision statement is that “All students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to seek out information and to take responsibility for their education and their behavior. Students will become more confident when presented with material to learn, with decisions to make and with problems to solve during their years of schooling and beyond as productive members of society.”

Known for its tradition-rich basketball program that has won multiple state titles, Crosby High School offers students the opportunity to participate in various sports.
